If 2020 has taught me anything, it’s to not take anything for granted—go forward and never look back. That’s exactly what I’m going to do right now. On August 6th, I will release my 8th LP, Technicolor Hearts. No need for a multi-month roll out with teasers and singles. I am putting it out to the world NOW. I am so proud of this album. It was recorded during the bleak days of the pandemic. It was just John Dufilho and me in a room with a guitar, keys, and drums and Kevin Brown behind the knobs. We played and recorded unfinished songs. Some of them were made up on the spot (see the title track). In fact, I wrote the lyrics to all of the songs after we finished the music. We then asked some special guests to play on it. Eric Slick of Dr. Dog played all over Midnight Radio; Salim Nourallah sang the backing vocals; we included a track (Time Will Tell) that I recorded with McKenzie Smith, Doug Burr, and Kristy Kruger before the pandemic began; and John Dufilho played everything else and mixed it. Technicolor Hearts will be available on ALL streaming platforms and I would love for you to add it to your playlists, send it to a friend, post about it on social media (be sure to tag me so I can share it as well!). It’s all about us and the music for this one. A deluxe version of the album that includes acoustic demos and an alternate mix of Time Will Tell will be available on Bandcamp for the same price as the iTunes version. In short, buy on Bandcamp. I love you all and thank you so much for your continued support. I really hope you enjoy Technicolor Hearts and it’s something you can dive into to escape all the crazy.
